I had such a blast shooting Kristin and Matt’s e-session in Grand Rapids. Kristin and Matt have such interesting personal stories (Kristin grew up in Africa and Matt grew up in the Dominican Republic) and I love that while they grew up a half a world apart they met each other and fell in love while going to school here in Michigan (at my alma mater may I add). And it was wonderful hearing a little about their childhoods and about all the amazing food they cook as a couple—I even got a crash course in Coffee 101 from Matt who is a super coffee aficionado. But what made this session so great is how comfortable Matt and Kristin were with each other and in front of the camera. There was an ease about them that was so wonderful and fun to photograph. I also have to give a huge thanks to Natalie from Stems Event Design for letting us explore and use her florist shop for the engagement session—it is an amazing space (and she is an amazing florist too!).
