jacob (and his family) – senior and family session in grand rapids, mi

So this is a bit of a different blog post because this was a bit of a different session. Along with taking Jacob’s senior pictures I also had the pleasure of photographing Jacob’s brother Philip for his 8^th grade graduation, as well as some pictures of the whole family in celebration of Debra and Ron’s 25^th wedding anniversary. All these milestones made it the perfect time to document the family and to create some fun new family pictures. The bulk of our session was devoted to Jacob’s senior pictures. I had so much fun getting to know and photograph Jacob—he is an incredibly smart and talented guy and it was great just chatting during the session. Since Jacob is an accomplished violinist and participates in forensics we took some more dramatic shots at Calvin College’s beautiful new performance space followed by a trip with the family to a nearby field. It was an honor photographing the whole Rienstra clan and here are a few of my favorite pics from the session.
